HAVE YOU FOUND A REALLY COOL PICTURE, BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE IT ON EASY DISIGNER? OR A COOL BACKGROUND IMAGE?
There are 3 steps to this
step 1 - covers Finding an image and saving it to
your computer properly!
step 2 - covers Uploading and inserting the picture into a homepage!
step 3 - Covers Images as backgrounds!
STEP 1 - SAVING THE IMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER

1. Go find an image you want on the internet...
2. Right
click on the image and you will see a list of options pop up.
3. Choose "SAVE
PICTURE AS"
4. a window pops up.. Showing the
location on your computer your saving it to.( remember
the location you save the file to, you will need to find this file later
on!)
5. It will ask for a file
name - you can change the name if you want!
If you saving a picture of a horse you might want the file
name to be "horse" or "horse1" or "blackhorse"
or "horse2"
6. It will ask for a file
type

Easy Designer only accepts
File Types .gif .jpg .jpeg .bmp

click the file type box and
select one of the above file types.. or you won't be able to use it in
Easy Designer!
COMMON MISTAKE: Saving files as .art file type.
<-- DON'T DO THIS!!!
7. Click "SAVE" and the picture will save to your computer
<--- test image For practice...now
try saving this picture to your computer as a .gif file type!!
NOTE: Animated (moving) pictures should always be saved as .gif file type!!!
8. Follow instrutions below to add the picture to your page!

NOTE: Some people have reported that they
try to save a picture as file type .bmp, but it still saves as .art. Correction
for this problem: add .bmp to the file name
File Name: doll.bmp < ----
add .bmp to name
File type: .bmp

STEP 2 - INSERTING THE PICTURE
Okay, now you got yourself a picture on your computer... How do you put it on a page with easy designer??
1. Go to Easy Designer
2. Click "ADD
IMAGE" - and the "Easy Desinger
Picture Gallery" will pop up..
3. Easy Designer doesn't know you have a really cool picuture, YET., You have to tell easy designer by "uploading" the picture. Click "UPLOAD PICTURE".
4. A "upload
Picture" window will pop up on AOL.
Click the "Browse" button
and search for the picture on your computer. (remember
In Step one I said to remember where you saved the image, I hope you remember!)
5. Once you have found the image click on the Picture
file (example picture file smile.gif ) then click
"open".
6. Now click "UPLOAD PICTURE"

7. You can insert your image onto your homepage with easy designer.. by Clicking "add image" then choose the " <<MY PICURES>> " catagory.. and find the image you have uploaded!

STEP 3- USING A PICTURE AS A BACKGROUND
Complete steps 1-6 only for "INSERTING A PICTURE"
7. CLICK on "color" in Easy Designer
8. Click On "CUSTOMIZE"
9. A little window will pop-up, under background
select "tile"
then click Browse... then the galery "<<my
pictures>>" should pop up
10. Click on "<<my pictures>>"
11. you should find your
image, click it
NOW YOU HAVE YOUR BACKGROUND!
NOTE: if you have a Animated background ( moving) you will want to use .gif file type.
NOTE: background pictures will be "tiled" Tiled means they will be placed on the background of your web page in a "tile" effect, sorta like tiles on a wall, until your background is filled up!
